What Is One Song That You Liked The Remix More Than The Original?

One of the music industry’s biggest tricks to a hit is a remix.
You could totally make a song that didn’t get any traction into a monster hit by crafting a remix. Skales did it back in the day with “Temper” and Skiibii did it not too long ago with “Baddest Boy.”

Thing is, there’s no shortage of songs that could use a remix. Meanwhile, more often than not we’ve got remixes that just weren’t needed. It’s actually a very impressive feat for the remix of a song to be better than the original. Especially if the original is very good.

One example is PSquare’s big hit, “Chop My Money.” The remix which featured Akon and May D is actually the best version of the song and no one wanted to listen to the original anymore after hearing that.

Another impressive remix is that of “Beautiful Onyinye,” another P Square song. The remix featured Rick Ross in what was the biggest international collaboration around that time.

The point is, artists have done it in the past. And with guys like Asake and Fireboy making remixes of their hit songs, there’s a chance it might happen again. Of course, there are definitely some songs you’ll love their remixes more than the original.

That kind of song for me is Wizkid‘s “Ojuelegba” remix featuring Drake and Skepta. Well, you tell us what that song is like that for you.
