Social Media Trolls Almost Made Me Quit Music — Waje

After the release of her album ‘Red Velvet‘ in 2018, Waje, seriously contemplated shelving her music career.

It came as a total shock to music lovers and her fans. Her public outburst on how she did not have money to finance her music career came as a shocker to most people.

In April 2019, Waje, went back on her plan to quit music. She set out to re-brand and reinvent herself. That came as a relief to her fans.

Now, Waje has publicly explained what pushed her to make that decision.

In an interview with Chude, she explained how at a concert, she was not allowed to use a live band during her performance. That got her upset but she did the gig anyway.

After her performance, she started trending on Twitter and all hell let loose. She was called all sorts of names and later she broke down that day.

She also explained how God has helped her thus far.

Recently, the vocal coach bagged a distribution deal for her last album ‘Red Velvet’ in Asia.
