Super Eagles star Kelechi Iheanacho will become the mist expensive Nigerian ever when he competes a £24Million (N9.9bn) when he completes a move to West Ham.
According to reports reaching Hiptopjamz.com, the Nigerian will undergo a medical with the Hammers after City accepted a bid of £24m for his services.
The £24m fee will make Iheanacho the most expensive Nigerian player ever with his fee surpassing the 20 million pounds Chanchung Yatai paid Watford for Odion Ighalo.
According to reports, Pep Guardiola’s side have the option of buying back the striker after two years for a fee.
Last season, the 20 year old lost his spot at Manchester City following the January arrival of Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus.
A medical which will take place in France, where Iheacho is on duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the games against Corsica and Togo.
However, Iheanacho has denied reports of a move to the Hammers or Everton who are also interested in his services.
“I’m not very aware of that,” the Nigerian is quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“I just keep working with the team and I’m still at Manchester City so I’ll meet up with the boys and kick off the season with Manchester City.
“I’m happy to stay at Manchester City and keep fighting to help them achieve what they want to achieve.”
The striker also said he would be happy with competition as City need a big squad to challenge for titles next season.
