Ifeanyi’s Death: Davido’s Management Announces New Festival Date

Singer Davido is still mourning his son Ifeanyi Adeleke and might not return to music this year. This is so as his management team has announced a new date for his upcoming music festival.
Davido’s music festival titled A.W.A.Y (Are We Africans Yet?), was earlier scheduled to hold on November 18, 2022, but has now been postponed to November 18, 2023.

This was made known in a new update released by his management team. According to the update all those who have bought their tickets for the show will be honored for the 2023 show.

This was done to allow the music star spend some time with his family and loved ones while grieving over his late son.

The update read:
“We have made the difficult but necessary decision to postpone A.W.A.Y Festival until Saturday, November 18, 2023. It is necessary for Davido to spend time with his family and loved ones at this time. To all ticket buyers, your tickets will be honored for the 2023 date. We understand that you must be disappointed but we promise to come back with a bigger and better show”.

Recall that Davido’s first son, Ifeanyi Adeleke died few days after his third birthday. He died after drowning in a swimming pool in his father’s banana island mansion.

Since he died Davido is yet to make any post on any of his social media pages. In a bid to allow him grieve quietly over his son, his music festival which was scheduled to take place this year has now been postponed till next year, 2023 November.

This is indeed a trying time Davido and Chioma, may pull through.
