“Ginger” Or “B. D’or”—Which One Is The Best Wizkid & Burna Boy Collaboration?

“Ginger” Or “B. D’or”—Which One Is The Best Wizkid & Burna Boy Collaboration?

Wizkid and Burna Boy are two of this generation’s greatest Afrobeats artists.
It’s no surprise that the two guys happen to be best friends. Their linkup which is as old as the beginning of Burna’s career in 2013 has seen them do some six songs together (including the ones they were both featured on.)

In 2020, they both released albums (“Made in Lagos,” “Twice As Tall”) that caused a cultural reset. One by winning a Grammy (first ever) and the other by setting records on the Billboard.

The two guys together are unstoppable. They’ve performed together on big stages including the O2 Arena where they announced their last collaboration, “B. D’or.”

With the release of “B. D’or” last year, that’s two songs from both of them within two years. And with “More Love, Less Ego” coming, there just might be another one. But which of their recent collaborations is the best one they’ve done?

Is it the MIL single “Ginger” which, by the way, now has a Best Music Video nomination at the Headies? Or the “B. D’or” non-album single that had a lot of hype late last year?

“Ginger,” for one, as a part of “Made in Lagos” is flawless. It fits in perfectly and follows “Reckless” naturally without any hiccup. Even if it didn’t receive the single treatment and get a video, it’d have still been a very interesting track.

“B. D’or” on the other hand is this freestyle single and Burna Boy did most of the job. Well, that’s if you don’t count Wizkid’s exceptional second verse that changed the song completely. Some would say, it would have fit in on MIL perfectly, without a doubt.

Anyway, back to the question 👇🏼
