Burna Boy And Wizkid Will Win Grammy In 2023 If Nominated (See Why)

Legendary Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo gets elected as a member of National Board of Trustees for the Recording Academy, also known as Grammy.
The Recording Academy on Wednesday (June 1) said that it had elected 19 new leaders to its 2022/23 National Board of Trustees. The announcement was put up on the official website of the Academy. It read in part:

‘Effective today, the newly elected Trustees join the Academy’s midterm Trustees, including National Officers Tammy Hurt (Chair)(opens in a new tab), Rico Love (Vice Chair)(opens in a new tab), Om’Mas Keith (Secretary/Treasurer)(opens in a new tab), and Christine Albert (Chair Emeritus), in upholding the Academy’s mission to serve and represent the music community at-large’.

The multiple-times Grammy award-winning singer Angélique Kidjo joined the Grammy as one of its 19 new electees. In her new position she is to help in upholding the Recording Academy’s mission of serving the music community fairly, alongside other members of the board.

Before Angélique Kidjo joined Grammy as a board member, she had been a repeated recipient of the most prestigious music Awards. Her last award at the 2022 Grammys, however, became controversial when netizens argued whether she deserved it or not.

The category in which she won, Best Global Music Album, had one of Nigerian biggest artiste, Wizkid, who they (netizens) thought should have won.

After winning the award, she had to disable her Instagram comments section of the self-congratulatory post she made because of online trolls. Some days later, after the whole online drama, Wizkid sent her a congratulatory message via his IG stories.

Now their worst nightmare, Angélique Kidjo as one of the National Board of Trustee member, she cant get nominated or win in any category. So the coast is clear from Wizkid and Burnaboy now.
