10 Artists Davido Gave Their Best Career Songs

When it comes to collaborations with other artists, you gotta give it to Davido.
He has done a lot in the past and he hasn’t missed once. Davido is the guy if you want your song to have a better remix. It doesn’t even have to be a remix, as long as you call on Davido, he’ll deliver. Na why we dey call am GOAT.

Here is a list of ten African artists who Davido have blessed with the biggest hits of their careers. From Ghana, SA, and all over the 234.

1. Stonebwoy (“Activate”)
Stonebwoy was already becoming a has-been when he collaborated with Davido to make “Activate.”

The song blew up and became arguably the Ghanaian’s biggest hit ever and was one of the top songs across the continent last year.

2. Focalistic (“Ke Star Remix”)
The South African rapper became an instant sensation after Davido jumped on his song, “Ke Star” for a remix.

That “better rest, better rest, better rest” part Davido was better than some people’s whole discography. Focalistic probably won’t have a song bigger than that for a while.

3. Skiibii (“Baddest Boy”)
Skiibii had dropped an EP last year but not a lot of people had paid attention to the project.

So, what does Skiibii do? He calls on Davido for a remix of an afro track from the project. And just like that, Skiibii was everywhere. That time he faked his death, he didn’t even become this popular.

4. Kizz Daniel (“One Ticket”)
Kizz Daniel is one of the few who have enjoyed the Davido effect more than once. First in 2015, for the remix of “Woju” alongside Tiwa Savage.

Then in 2018, they made the explosive hit, “One Ticket” together. The song was from the “No Bad Songz” album and is one of Kizz Daniel’s biggest hits to date.

5. Teni (“For You”)
What would Teni have done if Davido wasn’t in the picture? I mean, her album was okay but she’s not been able to make another hit since.

“For You” carried the whole number and it was the wave she got from collaboration with Davido that propelled the reception upon her album release. Yeah, Davido did that.

6. Adekunle Gold (“High”)
Adekunle Gold’s transition to afropop has been quite good for him. He has done well and he has reaped the results.

Perhaps one of the factors responsible for his success is knowing the right collaboration to do. When he linked up with Davido, we wondered what they were gonna do. Well, it was magic and it catapulted Adekunle to even greater heights.

7. Humble Smith (“Osinachi”)
Humblesmith made that one hit and just vanished off the face of the earth. If not for Davido, he probably wouldn’t have been able to make just that one either.

“Osinachi” was a killer jam that year and everyone turned up to it. Davido’s controversial verse on the song also made it even become a smash.

8. Mc Galaxy (“Nek Unek”)
As far as hits are concerned, “Nek Unek” was one hell of a hit and that was all thanks to Davido who jumped on the track with the Sekem master.

9. Olakira (“In My Maserati”)
It’s probably safe to say Olakira will never have a hit like this one again because damn, it was quite a huge one.

The song went viral after Davido did a remix for the youngster and now it’s one of the biggest songs from a newbie ever.

10. Ajebo Hustler (“Barawo”)
Although the song had become a hit before Davido decided to jump on it, his remix propelled the song to the very top.

It was during the End SARS era of 2020 and it quickly became one of the most popular songs on the streets during the protests.

That’s all we got.
